What I'm working on now

After Blue Undertow and Skeleton Crew Manhunt, Sergeant Morrow's squad has settled into an uncomfortable no mans land.  The public, criminals and some of their own department members don't know if they were involved in the supposed accidental death of Anthony Vincelli.  As years progress, Bob Connolly is the first to pull the plug and retire.

Blue Undertow III: Connolly is a story about a retired police officer who suddenly has the freedom to act like any other ordinary citizen.  With no fear of losing his career or his pension, Connolly can now dispense with the restraint he has endured for so many years.  Discourteous driver? No problem. The middle finger goes up.  Mess with his family? A slap in the face might suffice.  If not, something a little more harsh might be in order.  Unfortunately for Bob, things are about to get sticky for him.  He'll just have to learn to navigate his new found freedom to get by.

Bio & Clips

Chris Garraty was born in Waco Texas on a small military base when his father was in the U.S. Air Force.  He is the middle child in a family with five children.  The family settled in Brigantine NJ when his father retired.  Chris attended St. Philip the Apostle School and Holy Spirit High School.  While still a senior in high School, Chris joined the Brigantine Auxiliary Police, a volunteer organization and was hired as a full time officer 18 months later.

Chris' career in Brigantine began when many of Atlantic City's casinos were still being built and Brigantine was changing rapidly from a quite Mayberryesque town to a bedroom community for Atlantic City.  The building boom in Atlantic County along with the large influx of people from out of state changed Brigantine.

After a twenty five year career, Chris worked various security positions as a contractor for the federal government.  He also worked as a role player for Federal Law Enforcement training playing everything from terrorists to feint hearted victims to non english speaking law enforcement officers.

Chris is married and has two grown children.  He enjoys writing, walking his dog and playing practical jokes on co-workers and his wife Janet.  Chris also enjoys 70's  made for TV spooky movies.

Be Wiser Than Your Buds

Wrote six radio commercials for the M.A.D.D. summer campaign "Be Wiser Than Your Buds"  a spoof of the Budweiser frogs commercials that were popular at the time.  Below is the audio of the Wheel of Misfortune commercial.  The t-shirt below was designed and drawn by Stephen Garraty from an idea by former M.A.D.D. President Ginnie McCabe.
